WHO WE ARE
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I recently revisited the finances for our November 12th fundraiser - still very awesome and fresh in my memory. Here is the actual breakdown.
Besides the $430 that you donated to this GoFundMe campaign, Under One Sun: Benefit received $1005 in personal checks and ticket sales. I just received another $54 check for Hispanic Federation. GoFundMe will keep $21.50 of the $430 you donated to this effort. SOOOO...the concert, and this campaign raised a TOTAL of $1468.50.
Our success with this effort makes us wonder if we want to keep Under One Sun Benefit as an organization that raises money for causes that speak to us. So check back. We may start something new. We will probably post videos from the concert, too!
Under One Sun is a cooperative effort that involves artists and arts organizations in the Lehigh Valley. Spearheaded by members of the Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild, and Trinity Episcopal Church, Under One Sun is a benefit concert to raise funds for UNIDOS, the Hispanic Federation's relief effort in Puerto Rico.
The concert is family friendly fun, a combination of music and storytelling.
Charles Kiernan, a teller of tales who concentrates on English and German fairy tales.
Chiles' Play, a children's songwriting duo.
Closer, a classic rock band, that offers music from "Only You" by the Platters through songs by Adele.
Ingrid Bohn, a gifted, animated storyteller.
Judy England McCarthy, a spritely tale spinner.
Today, We Fight with Peace, a father/daughter team who write and perform original songs
Tom and Betty Druckenmiller, with possible guest Norm Williams, the Lehigh Valley's best old time music duo (or trio).
